Police Investigate Web Profile:
I’m sorry but I just find this funny…
MIDDLETOWN — City police are trying to find out who created a police department profile on the website MySpace.com that includes references to the 2003 disciplining of a police officer accused of accessing inappropriate websites on a computer at police headquarters.
A Portland resident notified detectives Monday night about the profile, which displays the department’s patch worn on officers’ uniforms. The profile describes a nameless 45-year-old police lieutenant with alleged interests in “internet porn, gay porn” whose hero is pop star Michael Jackson, according to the website.
“We’re actively seeking who came up with this and if it warrants an arrest,” Det. Sgt. William McKenna said. “They are not the Middletown Police Department, obviously. It’s just childish.”
An arrest? Seriously? Come on. It’s probably just some kid with an “I hate cops” attitude. As the line from the movie goes “Lighten up Francis”.
