Funeral for Jamie Rose Bolin today
Friends, Family Say Goodbye To Slain Oklahoma Girl:
PURCELL, Okla. — Family and classmates will say goodbye Thursday to a 10-year-old Oklahoma girl who authorities said was killed by a man who planned to eat her corpse.
The service will be held at the Purcell High School gym at 11 a.m. Central time, followed by burial in Guthrie, Okla. It will feature religious songs and a video tribute to Jamie Rose Bolin, who liked to sing and sew.
Jamie�s parents said their daughter had an inquisitive nature and loved everyone she met.
The Oklahoman spoke with Curtis Bolin and Jennifer Fox as they sorted through old photographs and memorabilia of Jamie for use in the memorial service.
Both have had little sleep since Jamie disappeared a week ago and was found dead two days later.
Fox — a long-haul truck driver — said she was driving through Arizona when Bolin contacted her and told her their child was missing. She said she stopped along an Interstate 40 shoulder and screamed.
Bolin said their child is in heaven with his father, James, for whom Jamie was named.
The auto dealership mechanic said he can no longer live at the apartment he and his daughter shared and plans to leave Purcell for Guthrie, where he can stay with relatives.
Bolin declined to comment on his daughter�s accused killer, but said he doesn’t blame the man’s family.
