Winthrop, Mass. MySpace threat
Winthrop Student In Custody For ‘Credible Threats’:
(CBS4) WINTHROP Police in Winthrop have taken a high school student into custody for allegedly making threats against other students and at least one adult.
The student’s myspace.com web page shows him in a ski mask, holding two guns, and going by the name “AK47.”
According to officials, the investigation was initiated on Friday when police received a tip. Officials say significant evidence led them to believe the threats were very credible.
As the investigation continued, Winthrop Superintendent of Schools Dr. Steven Jenkins, state police, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, the Secret Service and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms all became involved.
Police will not detail exactly who was threatened, or what those threats entailed.
I was unable to locate his MySpace but since the Secret Service and the ATF are involved it’s probably been removed.
Stay tuned to TheTrenchcoat Chronicles if anything else develops on this story.
H/T to Tina.
