Cops use MySpace to find beating suspect
Police Use MySpace to Find Beating Suspects:
MySpace does some good now and again…
CROFTON, Md. (AP) - Anne Arundel County police say they used the social-networking Web site myspace.com to track down five people they’ve charged in a beating in Crofton.
Police say it happened on May 5th when three South River High School students walking near the corner of Aberdeen Road and Brian Court were jumped by five men.
One of the victims recognized one of the attackers as William Bagbey and told police. The information was turned over to a School Resource Officer at the high school, who regularly uses MySpace to monitor student activities.
Police say Bagbey had a MySpace account, where investigators found photographs with names that the victims were able to identify as their other attackers.
Five people were arrested and charged with assault and robbery. Police say two suspects are students at South River and the other three are former students.
I was unable to find Bagbey’s MySpace at this time. If anyone knows where it is please let me know.
