MySpace blackmailers allowed to return home
Alleged MySpace.com Extorters Can Go Back To N.Y.:
The two teenage alleged MySpace extorters have been allowed to return to their homes in New York…
(CBS) LOS ANGELES A judge Thursday lifted travel restrictions on two computer programmers arrested last month for allegedly plotting to extort money from the operators of MySpace.com.
Shaun Harrison and Saverio F. Mondelli are now allowed to return to New York, where they live, until their next court appearance in Los Angeles on July 11, according to Deputy District Attorney Jeffrey McGrath.
The travel restrictions had been a condition of the men’s bail, which prosecutors agreed to reduce from $250,000 to $35,000, provided the pair agreed to remain in Los Angeles while their case was pending.
But after discussions with their attorneys, the prosecution was “satisfied they’ll return to court,” McGrath said.
What do you think are the odds on them fleeing?
