MySpace fight clip sparks investigation:
GRAND JUNCTION - Mesa County deputies are looking into a violent fight video on MySpace.com, which purports to be posted by a 15-year-old boy in Clifton, and which was reported to authorities by a woman in Arvada.
The video clip depicts two fights, each between two girls appearing to be of high school age. The second fight, which was broken up by two boys, is more violent than the first with hair-pulling and kicking and ends with two shots of a possible stab wound in one of the girl’s leg.
In both, a number of boys standing and seated around a backyard patio cheer the girls on.
Mesa County sheriff’s spokeswoman Susan Redmond said today a deputy took a phone report of the video from Michelle Thompson, 37, of Arvada on Tuesday.
“We’re trying to reach the deputy now and figure this out,” Redmond said. “There’s no confirmation it occurred in Clifton,” an unincorporated area east of Grand Junction.
The house appears middle class and is built in a style quite common in Grand Junction, and many other areas of the country as well.
The MySpace user who posted the video identifies himself as male, 15, and using D.O.L.A.N as a name.
Thompson said the deputy she talked to “dismissed it and he told me it didn’t look like a residence” in Clifton.
“With all the attention MySpace is getting, I try to police it,” said Thompson, who works for a land development company.
MySpace didn’t immediately return e-mails for comment.
Except D.O.L.A.N wasn’t the first person to post the video. That “honor” would go to Nux who posted the video a month and half before D.O.L.A.N. Nux is from Biloxi, Mississippi. A good distance from Colorado. And I don’t even think that Nux was the alleged cameraman. I’m sure this video started somewhere else on the net and these MySpacers just latched on to it. Go to YouTube sometime and just do a search for “girlfight” and see how many videos come up.

that fight has been online for over a year.
I saw it at pick a fight or something like that a long time ago.

That video has been out there forever. I used to go to limewire and download fights—I got that one at least a year ago, if not longer.

it’s just one of those random videos from YouTube that’s doing the rounds in Myspace now.
