Windows Live Spaces
I hate to say anything good about Microsoft (Hey, at least I didn’t spell it with a $) but I’ve been playing with their Windows Live Spaces and I kind of like it. A much more cleaner look than MySpace. If I ever get enough time I’ll give you a full review but don’t hold your breath. I can tell you one thing I like about it so far is that I can add RSS feeds to it. I doubt the kids we’ll like it but maybe the more mature of us we’ll use it. Live.com is going to compete headon with Yahoo and Google. Its really a separate business unit than the rest of Microsoft, and the energy among those employees are really high right now.
Live intends to be an integrated portal with mail, chat, social networking, maps and much much more. Once they get the search function going, it will be pretty hot. Its already more accurate than Google.
Check out local.live.com, which has the coolest maps and aerial photos available.
Im really not a shill for Microsoft, but I have made my living on supporting their products for many years now. For some reason, I think they are a cool company.
