MySpace fight mom appears in court
Mother Seen on MySpace Fight Video Appears in Court:
This is a follow up to the Fresno fight video…
August 7, 2006 - She never threw any punches herself, but a Fresno mother was in court for her daughter’s fight on a popular website. Prosecutors say she stood by while her daughter beat up another girl for seven minutes.
Police say the mother Syreeta Fuller may have actually driven her daughter to the fight and then watched it happen.
Syreeta Fuller appeared in a street fight between two girls, recorded and broadcast on the website myspace.com.
Fuller appeared in court only briefly to face charges of child endangerment, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and battery.
They’re all misdemeanors, and last month, the mother of the girl who was beat up said she was disappointed.
“I was actually hoping for a more harsher charge,” said Diane Thrower, the victim’s mother.
Based on the charges, Fuller could get up to a year in jail if she’s convicted.
Lawyers will be back at the end of the month to see if they can reach a resolution. If not, the case could go to trial.
Nothing says family bonding like a mother driving a daughter to a fight.
