Authorities get information about Marine murder suspect from Myspace.com:

JACKSONVILLE — Before Marine Corps Pfc. Tharon Johnson was charged this week in connection to the murder of two Marines in Jacksonville on Aug. 15, authorities already knew some personal things about him.

They knew, for example, that Johnson likes the nickname “FatCat.” They also were aware that his interests included, “hanging out with my boys, getting money and doing my own thing.”

Johnson, 19, who was charged with accessory after the fact of murder, had the information contained on a personal Web page on MySpace.com — a social networking site that provides a place for users to post personal information about themselves. The two murder victims also had pages on MySpace.com.

The sites were part of a trail of evidence related to the double homicide left behind by technology — from cell phone calls to text messages to Web pages. Police investigators say working those clues are almost as important as the more traditional footprints, fingerprints or DNA evidence that can lead investigators to an arrest.

Actuallly Johnson has two MySpaces, one public and one private.
