Texas Taggers Busted
Police: Taggers Caught Through MySpace Pages:
It only takes one idiot to topple a criminal empire. Not that these dumbasses were close or anything
(CBS 42) AUSTIN Austin police have arrested four high school students for painting graffiti on more than 200 homes, businesses and public buildings in Austin. Investigators say they found them by looking up their “tags” on the social networking site MySpace.com.
A business owner on South Lamar told police of seeing the tags “Gimix,” “Scope,” “Zenac” and “Radar” in his neighborhood.
Police entered the tags into a MySpace.com search page, and found a profile based in Austin under the moniker “Gimix.” It led them to a 16-year-old Travis High School student’s profile page with photos of tags and graffiti, a picture of a teenager standing next to a stack of spraypaint cans and which was playing a rap song with lyrics glorifying tagging and graffiti.
Police contacted the boy’s mother and questioned the boy, who admitted to doing the graffiti, and led investigators to three others using the Scope, Zenac and Radar tags.
Chaz Armijo, 17, Sean Yates, 17, and Ian Graham, 19, are in custody, charged with Graffiti, a state jail felony. Police have also detained the 16-year-old.
And here we have the MySpace for the weakest link “Gimix”. And yes he did indeed post his handiwork on his MySpace
Dumbasses.

Big rat gimix, whatever, I wrote ZENAC and i think its wrong to pin felonies on us because we definately didnt murder or rape someone and we shouldnt be charged with the same offense as if we did. SCOPE and I never used chemicals to etch our names into business windows and definatly did not do 76,000 dollars worth of damage. i could clean it up easily with 600 dollars. its rediculous. if you want to email me my adress is chaz04@gmail.com for any positive or negative comments or questions.

“Nobody wants to see your illegible scrawls.” Speak for yourself you life-less human, I and hundreds of thousands of others enjoy seeing humanity claiming back their environment. Advertising is graffiti, but because it is ’socially accepted’ and because multi-billion dollar corporation spend millions trying to alter your perception, it is legal. Graffiti is humanity claiming back their environment in the face of faceless corporations and their systematic nature. I don’t agree with vandalizing local businesses or residents, that’s fucked up, but public property such as underneath a bridge where only taggers will see the art or a fucking McDonalds that is largely responsible for global warming, obesity and making shitty hamburgers is fine in my book. The cops just suck at catching thieves and real criminals (like GWB and Cheney) so they fill up their quotas arresting potheads and vandals. Wake up idiots.

Talk about apples and oranges.
By the way, isn’t the aerosol in spray paint cans also responsible for global warming?
