UK police use YouTube to appeal to killer

by Trench on October 8th, 2006

Internet appeal to catch killers:

Detectives trying to catch the killers of murdered schoolboy Jessie James have posted an appeal on the video-sharing website, YouTube.

Jessie, 15, was shot near Broadfield Park in Moss Side, Manchester, on Saturday, 9 September.

The internet site, which is popular with teenagers, is carrying a message from Jessie’s mother Barbara Reid and sister Rosemary.

In an online tribute, Barbara Reid said her “happy, God-fearing” son was well respected in the neighbourhood and was always willing to help anyone.

His sister Rosemary appealed to his killers: “Come forward and hand yourself in - can you live with this?

“If you know who is responsible, can you live with this?”

The video can be seen here.
