This article is too good to quote bits and pieces. It’s a great article about how a reporter from Wired wrote the code that helped the Suffolk County Police Department catch a registered sex offender that was about to strike again.

Yeah, I just saw this and popped over to make sure you had it covered. Im gonna write an article about it on my site.

Kevin Poulsen is one of the premier cyber writers in the country. He is regularly featured in SecurityFocus and other sites.

Kevin did great work, but by his own admission, he did not go through but 1/3rd of the hits his code produced.

And did you catch the part that its legal to solicit a child online in the state of new york as long as you dont send an email of a sexually explicit picture? That’s stupid!

Note to NY state congress and governor- pass the law to make it illegal.
