Man Charged In Toddler Beating Death:
PHOENIX — A Valley man is behind bars, accused of beating a 3-year-old boy to death.
Police arrested 20-year-old Robert Celaya after his girlfriend’s son died Saturday at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Celaya faces first-degree murder and child abuse charges in the death of Anthony Hernandez. He is being held on $81,000 bond.
Officials said doctors called police after finding severe trauma to the child’s abdomen.
Court records indicated the medical examiner ruled the death a homicide. The injuries included multiple bruising to the left side of the rib area and a severed intestine, according to the records.
“I don’t understand how people can do that to little children that small,” Clarissa Murrieta, a neighbor, told CBS 5 News. “They’re innocent children. They don’t deserve to be treated like that.”

i don’t understand how you can say “hes a sorry ass excuse for a human”, everyone knows hes innocent and it will only be a matter of time before he gets out. where was the boys mom or dad, those two bums didnt do jack shit especially that sorry excuse for a dad robert loves that kid and wouldnt have done anything to hurt him let alone kill him, robert is a real man and would have taken the responsibility if he had done something that stupid. Its funny that her myspace says that she is back with anthonys dad and is partying and it hasnt even been 2 months since it happened. Have you asked your good friend Roberta what happend to that poor helpless little boy a week before his life was stolen from underneath him. Did you ask him what happened on the slide. Robert is a piece of shit. If he was so worried about that little boy why was he not at the hospital, with his girlfriend. Robert did this and it will be proven. So fuck you and his lawyer. Okay, so first off I want to let you all know how silly I think you guys are, for sitting around here posting about who was wrong and who was right. The fact is that a 3 year old boy was killed. Maybe I should say that one more time a 3 year old boy was killed. First off I know for a fact that you are not placed into custody for doing nothing wrong. My though is, you might be innocent until proven guilty; however you are not placed into jail on a high bond for no reason, there is something there that makes you look bad. I’m not going to sit here and tell you who was right and who was wrong, but I tell you one thing that a little boy was taken out of this world, unable to experience things that we take for granted. It’s a horrible thing when any is killed, but when a baby boy is killed it’s something that most of us don’t know how to handle. My heart goes out to his mother and dad. No one can even begin to comprehend what they must be going through. So, I wonder what good you guys could honestly be doing by saying what bad people they are. I know being a father myself, that for some reason I did not want my son (Which could never happen), I would still care for him; let say he was adopted; I would still be going though hell if he was killed. So what kind of people are you to talk bad about either of these two? And let me tell you one thing, in the long run God knows all and sees all. Think about your comments and actions before you say or do anything. You may not have to face up for them right now, but one day you will stand before god and he will have the last word. I miss you dearly Anthony, I know you are in a better place were no more harm comes to you and we all miss you down here!

Its really bad to hear all the trash being talked about here. I am the grandmother to Anthony on the father’s side. I can tell each one of you little kids that it was no joy going to a hospital and seeing you grandson in tubes and not moving. He was already dead but the doctors were hoping that there would be some chance of my grandson “Anthony” making it. But there wasnt and he was taken off the respirator. Its funny how each one of you thinks Robert is innocent when there was enough evidence to say that my grandson was actually murdered by blunt force to the stomach. If Robert is SO INNOCENT as all of you are saying why was he locked up and why do they consider him a risk and set his bail so high. Why has his so called friend Martin not talked up and defended him. Martin is just as a sorry ass as Robert is because he was there too and still the mother fucking ass hole had the nerve to show his ass at the hospital while my Anthony lay there dying. Why don’t each one of you ask his fuckin ass what happened and listen to his lies. You do not know what it feels like to see one of your own flesh and blood slip away from you like anthony did. It is a feeling that never goes away. Yes my son has made mistakes in his life but I can tell you one thing for sure Anthony was his life and he would had done anything for him and I mean ANYTHING!!!!!! Look all of this needs to stop!!! There is a child that has been taken from all of us. There are so many emotions that We all feel and some are different from the next person. God is the only one who know’s what happend to Anthony. I am asking Please if every one could pls stop and just think about that little boy. Remember the good things the happy times with Anthony.
