Gay man dies in NYC suspected hate crime, taken off life support:

NEW YORK — A man who was attacked in a suspected hate crime and hit by a car while trying to escape died Friday after his family decided to take him off life support, officials said.
Michael Sandy, 29, had been in critical condition at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center after running into traffic on the Belt Parkway on Sunday evening.
Three young men have been charged with hate crimes in the assault and robbery of Sandy, a gay man investigators believed was lured to a Brooklyn street corner with the online promise of a sexual encounter.
Gary Timmins, 16, John Fox, 19, and Ilya Shurov, 20, were all being held without bail after being arraigned earlier this week.
According to a police commander who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Wednesday, one of four men questioned by police had met the victim and convinced him to drive to an isolated parking lot near Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn where a group was waiting.
The confrontation eventually spilled onto the busy parkway, where the victim was hit by a vehicle.
The men questioned said they were heterosexual and indicated they had in the past used the Internet to lure and attack gay men, the official said.
Police were also searching for the vehicle that hit Sandy. The driver did not stop at the scene.
One of my best tippers, Angie, sent me the MySpace of John Fox and I was disgusted at what I saw. All his stupid little teenage friends posted a metric assload of comments saying “Free Fox”.
Free him? He should fall on his knees and thank almighty God above that New York doesn’t have the death penalty. Are all you kids that fucking stupid? Well you must be to have a hate filled psycho like that as a friend. To say “Free Fox” is to excuse him for the brutal assault and causing the death of a man they didn’t even know all because of something as trivial as Michael Sandy’s sexual orientation.
With any luck the karma train will make a stop in your friend’s cell.

And another thing… All these gangster wannabes drive me nuts. Ive lived in some pretty rough areas and met some pretty rough people, and not one of them have the money or living circumstances to allow them to sit around on myspace.
The Corner or The Wire should be required viewing for them all.

How fitting that this homophobic turd will be spending the next few years getting raped in the ass. Small punks like him don’t fare well in prison. Some of his worthless friends are telling him to “keep your head up”. Oh, don’t worry. It will be “head up, and mouth open”. The irony is, he might even grow to like it.

Good to know other people are disgusted by the “Free Fox” comments.
Soobs, I was thinking the same about the homosexual tendencies. One of those four boys that set this up is probably guilty of running away from their own fear of being gay. Probably whoever the ringleader was. Fox may be guilty of that or of going along with the group so he’d seem cool or be accepted. Either way, he’s definitely guilty of being a dumb*ss and so are his friends.
I just cannot wrap my head around the raw and rampant ignorance displayed by people in his MySpace comments.
