Just a nice little article from The Sun Herald in Mississippi about how the issue with sexual predators on MySpace can be overhyped. The reason I mention the article is because MCS gets a mention�
Unfortunately, the common depiction of MySpace as a fertile hunting ground for deviant adults looking to prey on teens is based in some very real and serious criminal cases involving interaction between adults and minors. The online site, MyCrimeSpace, posts a number of cases in which MySpace has been implicated in crimes involving teens and adults.
The article’s point is well taken. For every sexual predator I post about here there are millions of kids who go on MySpace and never have a problem. That’s not to say that parents shouldn’t remain vigilant though.
