Suspect found in NC hit and run
Police have suspect in hit-and-run death:
Thank you one and all who blogged about Karen Herndon’s unfortunate passing for me. News has just come in that police do have a suspect in her death�
Investigators said they have a suspect in the Oct. 21 hit-and-run accident that killed 19-year-old Karen Elizabeth Herndon.
Woodfin police have not filed charges against anyone.
�There�s some details of the case that we�re still working on,� Detective Don Guge said. He declined to elaborate.
�The department as a whole is making sure that all our ducks are in a row, that nothing messes up the investigation,� he said.
The moment I have more news I will let you know.

To be quite honest, when I put myself in a driver who just ran over a promising young girls shoes, I understand why your minds immediate reaction would be to flee. It would be a very unreal situation, frightening, life ending, world crashing down event. Once you actually go away from the scene to a place where you could stop and collect your thoughts though, i’d think the guilt alone would force you to turn yourself in….if you don’t then you’re just proving to the judge you’ve got no remorse. Glad they found this person, for her family, and for the person who did its state of mind.
