The search for Mandi Alexander’s killer
Myspace Murder Mystery:
One of the few stories we get of someone putting MySpace to good use
December 4 Four years ago, two women were killed in a Kansas bakery. Police have been trying to solve the murder for years, but have never found the killer. Now, a Kansas woman turns to the internet to help solve the murder mystery.
Kathye Phelps was a close friend of Mandi Alexanders and she wants to do something to help find the killer. It was September 4, 2002, Mandi Alexanders third day working at the Dolly Madison store in Great Bend. There the 24-year-old Alexander and a customer, 79-year-old Mary Drake, were killed with a sharp object.
Phelps is using myspace.com in an unconventional way, to see if it will drum up new leads in the case. Millions of people use myspace.com so she has made a myspace profile for Mandi Alexander with the story of the two womens murders. The profile includes the composite sketch police came up with.
Here is the MySpace to help find Mandi Alexander’s killer. Please go and see if you can help. Don’t think that you can’t help. You may just be the person that helps bring a killer to justice.
