Craigslist Founder Offers Tips On How To Safely Use Site:
This article is from New York journalist Jill Scoot who interviewed craigslist founder Craig Newmark. Mr. Newmark gives some pretty good tips on how to use craigslist safely. Such as to deal in cash, use common sense, meet the seller in a public area, and that there is no such thing as “craigslist certification”.
I wonder if any of that applies to the multitudes of drug dealers and prostitutes that advertise on craigslist.

recently I was considering using paypal for a craigslist transaction. Unfortunately, the paypal system does not guarantee the transaction. Craigslist does state seller beware and that paypal is does not guarantee Craigslist transactions. Craiglist list recommends cash only and face to face transactions. Now I will have to watch for counterfeit money.
