Bats on Bebo
BOY, 11, ON BASEBALL BAT RAP:
Either this one is really strange or the story is leaving something out.
AN 11-YEAR-OLD boy has been charged with possessing an offensive weapon after a film posted on the internet showed him holding a baseball bat.
The youngster was spotted by police after they received a tip-off about the Bebo social networking site.
Cops contacted the boy’s parents then charged him with possessing a weapon in a public place.
Police sources said the footage made it clear the bat was not being used for sport.
Is there some weird UK law I don’t know about concerning bats? Does the same apply to cricket bats?
I’m not being a smart ass. I’d really like to know.

Anything that you possess with the intent to harm another person is considered a weapon, and illegal. That’s the UK…
