Texas teen arrested for MySpace threat
Teen arrested for Internet threats:
17-year-old Patrick Heinaman of Memorial High School in McAllen, Texas was arrested for sending threatening messages through MySapce.
Patrick Heinaman, 17, was arrested Monday after he allegedly warned a friend in MySpace.com postings and cell phone text messages to prepare for “bloodshed and a lot of people crying.”
Police believe the teenager intended the warning for his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend, who are also students at McAllen Memorial.
In an e-mail message sent through MySpace.com, authorities say Heinaman told his friend that he was not angry at his ex-girlfriend for leaving him, but that he wanted to get even. After the initial messages, the teen sent two text messages to his friend, saying that his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend were going to learn the meaning of pain, the affidavit states.
When questioned by investigators, Heinaman said someone had used his cell phone and his MySpace.com account earlier in the evening. Still, officers arrested him within two hours of when the first messages were sent.
The recipient of the messages later told police she reported Heinaman, fearing the incident could escalate into a situation similar to the recent shootings at Virginia Tech. McAllen schools officials indeed took the threat seriously, said district spokesman Mark May.
Heinaman allegedly posted the following on his blog…
WHY SHOULD I LIVE FOR SOMETHING OR SOMEONE WHEN ALL I DO IS FEEL PAIN? HERE’S TO THE PEOPLE WHO ARE NOW GOING TO FEEL MY PAIN, ONLY THIS TIME IT’S FOR REAL.
When will kids learn that high school is not the be all and end all of their lives? That and the fact that no high school girlfriend is worth going to jail over.

“ONLY THIS TIME IT’S FOR REAL.”
Why does this remind me of movie trailer copy for a spot voiced by Don “The Announcer Guy” LaFontaine? LOL

Exactly, kids, you have to learn, if someone hurt your feelings, big deal, go be with someone who doesn’t. At that age, don’t even sweat anyone, even when you get older, who cares…say next. The only people I could ever love forever and ever is my children. No one is worth going to jail for the rest of your life over.
