Coroner sued over death scene pics on MySpace
Pa. Coroner Sued Over MySpace Death-Scene Photos:
Northampton County, Pa. Deputy Coroner Donald DeReamus is being sued by the father of a suicide victim after the death scene photos were posted on DeReamus’ son’s MySpace.
Ryan DeReamus posted the pictures of the death scene on his MySpace with the caption ”There is no better way to kill yourself.” It didn’t stop there either. He also took the pictures to Nazareth High School where DeReamus the younger held his own grisly version of show and tell.
Students at Nazareth High recalled Monday how Ryan DeReamus approached them with the photos.
”He said, ‘Hey, I’ve got a dead kid chillin’ in my pocket,’ and pulled out a photo of Jimmy lying naked on the ground with a rope beside him,” said Colin Werner, 18, a senior from Tatamy. ”I was pissed, and I kinda flipped out on the kid.”
I found a bare bones MySpace for DeReamus that hadn’t been logged into since March of 2005 so I’m going to assume the one that he posted the pics on has either been removed or deleted.
