Mom uses MySpace to try and find missing Navy son
Mom uses MySpace to search for ‘deserter’ son :
Cherri Lee has created MySpaces in English and Japanese to help find her son Navy Airman Kenneth Lee Jr. Lee went missing April 16th when he did not report for duty aboard the USS Kitty Hawk which is docked in the Yokosuna Naval Base in Japan. Ms. Lee feels the Navy is not doing enough to help find her son…
She questioned the inventory of her son’s belongings found in his barracks room, including his Navy identification card, a $1,300 uncashed check and a cell phone.
“Every instinct, every feeling is telling me something is wrong,” Cherri Lee said in a telephone interview from her home in Alabama.
She doubts Lee would desert the military, saying he comes from a family with generations of military service, including his father, grandfather, grandmother and three uncles.
The MySpace to help find Airman Lee can be found here.

I just went to this page & saw several posts congratulating the family on locating him.. I’ve tried searching for more information but can’t find anything. So what was the deal? Does anyone know what the story is now that he’s been located?

He has been found alive and well. He’s in pretrial confinement. He was did not turn himself in, but investigators tracked him down.
