More vandals posting evidence on MySpace

by Trench on May 19th, 2007

Teens charged in vandalism after Myspace admission:
Kids from Greenwich, New York who call themselves “Street Krew” for doing $3000 in damage to a railroad car and rail yard by vandalizing it with graffiti. How were they caught? Since you’re reading it here you can probably guess.

The police investigation was helped along when police discovered that one of the suspects apparently bragged on her Myspace.com Web page about spray-painting the railyard, said Cambridge/Greenwich Police Chief George Bell.

Bell said the Myspace.com page that included admissions to the vandalism was found by officers with the department who routinely monitor the popular Web site to see what local information is being posted by local teens. A juvenile girl was the person who posted what police viewed as admissions to involvement in the vandalism, Bell said.
