Edwin Hall’s Yahoo profile
Steve Huff has posted that this is the Yahoo profile of Edwin Hall. Hall is the accused in the murder of Kelsey Smith. There are a couple of user names on the profile. The first one is captn_666_howdy which is a reference to Captain Howdy which in itself can be two different things. The first one is the white faced demon seen very briefly and shockingly in the Exorcist. The second reference is to the movie Strangeland where Dee Snider plays the role of Captain Howdy, a serial killer who lures girls from the internet. The other name he references is Dr. Giggles which is a bad early 90’s slasher flick.
All this could mean is that he’s just a horror movie fan. Or he fashions himself as some sort of serial killer. Me? I’m going with the serial killer bit.

I think Edwin is likely both a horror movie fan and living out his sick fantasies as a real life serial killer. Doing this all while keeping his dark secret from anyone that knew him. This is a sick individual and I think we are going to discover a lot more about this wacko over time. If there was ever a good death row candidate, it’s him. The BTK killer had a wife, kids and ministered at a church, all while his family had no idea he was a sick serial killer that took pleasure in taking life. There is no cure for what these type of people they are a waste of space. I feel sad for Edwins wife and child and the whole Smith family, who lost a bright beautiful 18 year old, with her whole life ahead of her, just ripped away in an instant in broad daylight by someones sick, demented and sexual fantasy. I can only hope now that more attention can be paid to all the other missing people in the world. Not nearly missing people receive this type of National media attention, specifically another local girl missing girl a month back, with no apparent leads (Possibly another one of Halls victims?) luckily there was video footage that tied Edwin to the crime, though with many crimes we cant count on the media or law enforcement to solve everything, as often there is little evidence to go on, we all need to stand up against sicko’s in this world, and start serving these creeps a fast death. I hope more missing cases can be solved and these bad apples can be weeded out of society and locked in a dark cave forever. Why does this keep happening in America and not Europe or Canada? Rylo

They do happen outside the USA…Jamie Bulger of Liverpool, England was kidnapped and murdered by two young boys (who did a mere 7 years for their crimes before being released in 01), and there’s the early 90s Bernardo/Homolka murders that took place in Canada, for which the crimes were also videotaped…by Bernardo himself!

For those who knew this “sicko” and said he was too nice a guy to do such a thing…here in Buffalo we had one of those - the Bike Path Rapist. Finally caught after 20 years of rapes and murders. He was married with 2 kids. His neighbors were shocked. They said he was such a nice guy. But DNA did him in and he finally confessed. So they do live among us, they trick us into believing they are such nice individuals when in truth they are out committing heinous crimes against women and girls.

It always surprises me when people act shocked that neighbors and acquaintances refer to these psychos as “nice, normal” people. The majority of psychopaths know how to play people. For some reason (probably thanks to all the horror movies) people think that a serial killer looks like Leatherface or Michael Myers. When in fact they look pretty normal, and tend to “seem” to be nice and normal. If they looked like Leatherface, do you really think they would have so many victims?

And btw, I agree with all of you. We are giving the criminals way too much time when they should be put to death A LOT quicker!!! And yes, we do have a much higher crime rate than most other countries. We are wayyyyyy to lenient.

I don’t feel that we are too lenient. The US in fact has some the toughest punishments for crime in the world. Unfortunately, the rights of the accused MUST be closely observed or these jerk-offs go free or get reduced sentencing due to deals and what not. I know a DA who once told me that he wishes he could shoot these psychos on sight and save everyone the time, trouble and money of a trial. I can’t openly condone vigilanteism, but if Americans fought back harder, a large portion of these issues would dissapate. And quickly! Just my two cents. I say don’t spend too much time finding out what makes this Hall *sshole tick. It doesn’t matter anyway. Just find out who else he may have killed and strap his ass down and fry him or lethally inject him or whatever the states of KS/MO use, if anything at all and be done with him. Or give him over to the victim’s family. That ought to get it done.

The tatoo on Edwin Hall arm in his myspace photo is the same as the tatto on the puppet on the movie Saw. I think that is interesting.

I am glad they got Sicko Edwin Hall off the streets and that justice will be served for Kelsey’s family and friends, even though that wont bring her back. I hope they execut him. I know the feeling Greg & Missy are going through, because I had a 15 year old daughter, Tawnya, that was murdered Dec 7, 1996 in Springhill, not far from where Kelsey dissappeared. No charges has been filed against anyone. If I could get my hands on the sick punk or punks that murdered my daughter, the taxpayers money wouldn’t be spent on supporting them in prison. I think lethal ejection or electric chair is the easy way out. It should be a slow and painfull death penality. We have idiots out there that say’s the death penality is “Inhumane”, well, what do they think it is when someone murderes someone. That is sick and inhumane.

I knew Edwin when he was seven years old. He was taken from his home around two years old and put into foster care due to severe sexual abuse by his mother, uncle and grand parents. If anyone is guilty, his ‘family’ that physically and emotionally scarred him should be locked up.

It really saddens me to hear when young innocent people are murdered by sick perverted bastards who don’t care about anything but themselves. At times I want to cry. I commend the Smiths and John Biersmith for the strength they have shown. However if I had a girlfriend who I loved very much get murdered, I don’t think I would want to live another minute after that because the grief would be too much for me. I think that wife of Hall’s needs some sense screamed into her by the Smiths when they give their speeches at the end of the trial. Because no one in their right mind should want to stick up for and be married to a cold blooded killer like Hall. He should get the death penalty, and any defense lawyer who knows his client is found guilty should just accept the fact that they are move on to defend people who are truly innocent, not just to get someone off at all costs. There is no justice in that. Our justice system badly needs improvement.
