Genius burglars busted on MySpace
MySpace leads police to burglary suspects:
Two 16-year-old stepbrothers from Citra, Florida were arrested Monday for burglary and grand theft. They had broken into the home pf a deceased man and stole two digital cameras, two bottles of wine, and $760. Police didn’t have any trouble finding them because one of the geniuses left his MySpace up on the computer.
While investigators from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office were at the home investigating, Barthlow noticed that the chair at the computer desk had been switched with another in the house. When he touched the mouse to the computer, the screensaver turned off and the MySpace.com account of a person named “Spiders of Hearts” popped up, as did pictures of a boy who was later identified by detectives as the younger of the brothers.
