The body of a 55-year-old man was found bound, gagged and reportedly castrated in a Queens attic apartment yesterday after the female tenant called 911 and fled, cops and witnesses said.
Brigitte Harris left in such a hurry shortly before 1 p.m. that she didn’t close the door to her apartment or the front door to the three-story Arverne house, said Felicia Khan, who owns the building with her husband, Alan.
Harris, who is in her 20s, works at Kennedy Airport for the Transportation Security Administration and has lived in the apartment for about a year, Alan Khan said, adding that she was quiet and often had female guests over, but never men.
Cops did not say how the man died or respond to TV reports that he had been mutilated.
The victim’s name was not immediately released.
A 41-year-old neighbor described Harris as a tough-looking woman who dresses in punk attire and has multicolored hair. “She stands out from the crowd,” said the man, who gave only his first name, Collin.
Police were searching for Harris last night.
An anonymous reader sent me the link to Harris’ MySpace along with the following note.
MySpace page links to her flixster account where she recently reviewed a movie called Hard Candy about a girl who castrates a child predator and her review states it is “the perfect revenge movie” which probably establishes her motive. From there you can find her eBay account where she purchased a scalpel a few weeks ago, she also has facebook and friendster accounts. She is reportedly the step-daughter of the victim.
I haven’t seen it confirmed that the victim was her stepfather so that is purely speculation at this point.

the band Otep that she has playing on her myspace profile is a female-fronted band. the lead singer is a self-professed victim of abuse and has angry, violent lyrics against men.

Good stuff, Trench. What a truly bizarre story. There’s a Korean movie with a title that translates to “Lady Vengeance” something-or-other, and this woman liked Asian guys, according to her site. May be some sort of connection there, too.

As a female, I would consider Asian men to be the most (stereotypically) non-threatening toward females. Maybe herein lies the attraction.

in the daily news its hows a quote from her blog “cocaine is a helluva drug”
the media is trying to make her seem worse than she is by making people think that she does drugs and all this shit cuz of her music and the way she looks.

Her step-father was a wicked bastard for what he did to his children, and he got what was coming to him. Any adult that preys on an innocent child, deserves what they get. People always seem to forget that children are little people who one day will become adults, and they don’t forget. I don’t always agree with people taking matters into their own hands but, I’m getting tried of these sick pricks doing this crap the children.

Bridgitte is my friend and this is very hard to go through. I never thought she’d do somethingl like this and i think her motives were the truth. She never talked about her family or anything bad happening to her. I really wish she had shared it with me though.

People don’t realize that victims of sexual abuse die inside with every touch, every memory that remains.

Being a past victim of domestic abuse I remember feeling so desperate to keep it all secret.. Always having a smile for friends and family.. No one ever guessed and i didn’t tell.. BUT every person has a breaking point. I did but fortunately for me and HIM i realized it before it was too late.. We cannot critize or judge a beaten spirit. Sometimes they’ll do what they have to in order to set themselves free. We should instead pray for her.

Being very close to someone who went through this from the age of about eight to adulthood, this brings a visceral smile to my face. From what I’ve seen, I have a good idea of what she went through and he deserved every grousome moment of torment he got. Though I doubt she’ll flinch at the price she has to pay, I hope it is not too steep.
