Local Craigslist Leads To Prostitution Arrests:
Two adult females and one adult male were arrested in relation to Internet prostitution on craigslist.com, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
Detectives responded to an Internet ad posting on Bakersfield’s Craigslist that directed viewers to the Motel 6 on California Avenue.
The posting advertised “100 kisses half hour,” and “200 kisses one hour,” possibly indicating dollars or some other type of currency.
An undercover office arrived at the location and said he was solicited.
Arrested in the room were Deborah Irene Flynn, 31, and Shelley Marie Clem, 34, both of Bakersfield. Flynn was charged with prostitution and child endangerment. Clem was also arrested on a charge of prostitution. Both were released on citation.
A 16-year-old juvenile in the room was taken into protective custody.
Further information led to the arrest of Jose Elias Garcia for felony pimping and pandering.
Now why would a 16-year-old be in a room full of prostitutes? I hope for the 16-year-old’s sake then one of the hokkers isn’t its mom.
Man arraigned for soliciting sex on craigslist:
Northborough Police arrested John J. Lake, 58, on charges of sexual conduct for a fee following an undercover Internet investigation.
Police received information about a man on the Internet who said he was from Northborough and offered money for oral sex. An undercover officer posted an ad on the personals section of craigslist.org, which Lake responded to on Wednesday, according to the court report filed by Detective Brian Griffin.
“In Mr. Lake’s e-mails he indicated that he was willing to pay for oral sex,” Griffin wrote.
The undercover officer, who posed as an 18-year-old man, corresponded more with Lake on Thursday, and they arranged to meet in the Wal-Mart parking lot, Griffin wrote.
“Mr. Lake was under the impression that he would be meeting an 18-year-old male named Jeff,” Griffin wrote. “It was also planned that Mr. Lake would meet at Wal-Mart and eventually go back to Mr. Lake’s house.”
Lake agreed to pay $100 for oral sex, Griffin wrote, and when he met the undercover officer in the store parking lot, he again said he would pay for the sex act.
Creepy.
