Beech High School MySpace threat

by Trench on August 28th, 2007

Teen Charged With Posting Online Threats:
School just started in some parts of the country and already the fun begins.

A 9th grader at Beech High School in Hendersonville, Tennessee posted a threat against his school on a MySpace.

An attack was posted anonymously on MySpace.com that said, “I’ll kill all these people on the list, blow up this school, warn the teachers.”

The posting went on to name the students he’s going to kill.

“At this point in time, we will be charging the juvenile with unruly behavior,” said Sumner County Sheriff Bob Barker.

Unruly behavior? That’s a real charge? It’s a good thing he wasn’t brought up on roughousing charges. The more we excuse this kind of behavior the closer we get to another massacre.

Let’s throw the usual out there too…

Authorities believe they know why the threats occurred.

“Some taunting, some teasing occurred, and he was lashing out in a verbal behavior,” said Barker.

Spare me already.

The proper response to teasing is not death threats.
