New Jersey AG calls out Facebook

by Trench on October 3rd, 2007

New Jersey attorney general subpoenas Facebook over sex offender data:
New Jersey attorney Anne Milgram has subpoenaed Facebook and 11 other social sites requesting if they have sex offenders as their users. Facebook claims they removed a list of registered New Jersey sex offenders from their site but AG Milgram says that’s not enough. The AG wants names and e-mail addresses as well.

I’m not about to lump AG Milgram in with the clueless triumvirate of AG’s Blumenthal, Cooper, and Cuomo just yet. She might actually use the information for good instead of just grandstanding like the other 3. So no pun intended but the jury is still out on AG Milgram.
