Kicking Party
Students flaunt election sign destruction on networking website Facebook:
A group calling itself the New Saskatchewan Sign Kicking Party appeared on Facebook.
It was described as a party for the youth of Saskatchewan who are upset that they can’t run for office or vote “and for any kids that just enjoy kicking political party signs.”
The site displayed photos and names of students kicking down election signs in Saskatoon.
Here in The States we wouldn’t think twice about something like this unless the signs were on private property. However in Canada it’s a different matter because in The Great White North it’s a federal offense to remove these signs. It’s punishable by 2 years in jail, a $5000 fine, or both.
Even our neighbors to the north aren’t immune from…
Red is starting his own kicking party and it involves his foot and your ass.

I live in Saskatoon, and if you saw the ridiculous amount of signs littering lawns and ditches, plus all of stupid election crap that we’re being bombarded with, TRUST ME, you’d wanna kick some signs too. Doesn’t make it right, but really, it’s not that big a deal and no one will get any jail time or a fine higher than 250 bucks. I can pretty much guarantee that.

Brendan obviously you don’t understand what our government does for you and your family and those kids that did kick down those signs should get a huge fine & jail time. Chances are if they are doing that they are doing other crimes too. Maybe seem like no big deal to you but this is where it all starts with our youth. Criminals usually start with something like this and then move on to stealing vandalizing homes, cars etc. Maybe its time our youth learned some respect! I hope our justice systems pulls through and uses them as an example to other youth getting away with the destruction of our beautiful city!
