Norwegian YouTube threat

by Trench on November 19th, 2007

Suspect Detained in YouTube Video Threat:
After the Jokela High School shooting there were other YouTube copycat threats. The first was also from Finland. The next one was from Australia. Now we have one from Norway.

The video posted to YouTube threatened a secondary school in Askoey, near the western coastal city of Bergen, and referred to a gunman who killed eight people and himself in Finland earlier this month, police said. Students were searched by police before classes started Monday as precaution.

“We have one person in for questioning,” Askoey Sheriff Odd Dale said at a news conference. “We will see what comes out of the interrogations during the day.”

Dale said a woman in Britain spotted the YouTube video “with pictures of the school together with a threat. Today’s date was also mentioned.”

More kids with too much time on their hands and inattentive parents.
