Metal Molester barred from the stage

by Trench on December 18th, 2007

Judge in Sex Case Bans Rocker From Stage:
One of the more heated discussions that has been ongoing on this site is that of one Randall Shesto II. He’s the 21-year-old lead singer of the metal ‘band’ Nailwounds. He was caught not once but twice with underage girls earning him the nickname on this site of The Metal Molester.

Well it seems that the Molester is Metal no more as a judge has barred him from appearing on stage for 5 years.

“You love your music,” the judge told the defendant. “Your music has been the tool by which you have ingratiated your way into the lives of these girls. You may not play in a band in any public appearances during the term of your probationary period. I’m taking away from you the tools by which you worked your misdeeds, sir.”

I can just see the judge saying to him “Now I bid you good day sir.” before slamming down his gavel.

Shesto was also sentenced to a month behind bars, 11 months of work release, and 5 years probation. He also can’t use the internet or a cell phone without permission from his probation officer.

Rock on justice system. \m/

A fitting sentence, IMO…and Shesto should be lucky he’s only gotta serve a month, which is rather light compared to the terms I’ve seen some pervs on Dateline sentenced to.

Doesn’t look like he got counseling. Without it, kids, weaker and more vulnerable people than he is, will continue to be appealling to him.

The “she lied about her age thing” always kills me. Teens go through a phase where they lie to assert their control in the world, explore their right to privacy. Parents of honor students know, their kids have lied. If you are thinking “not my kid” you’re almost certainly wrong. So why do we react with outrage and shock when a 15 year old lies or sneaks out or does things dangerous and damaging to herself? It’s what they do! Certainly there are different degrees. Depends on what’s going on in their lives.

We all know grown women don’t need to sneak out of the house. That “I didn’t know” stuff is crap. He didn’t want to know. Kids are very obviously kids. No one’s buying that a man doesn’t know.

I noticed a lot of kids contributed last time, so this won’t be popular, but teen girls are trying on who they are, discovering themselves. From the hundreds of teen girls I’ve talked to, many of them pierced or dyed or dressed in revealing clothes, all of them want attention and love. If a girl meets you in your car for sex, she’s settling for a tiny slice of what she really wants, of what she thinks she can get. She’s modeling behavior she thinks gets her what she wants. Yes, even the punky badass drug-using girl. She’s acting the way she’s been taught to act to get attention, and dare she dream, love. Guys want to believe girls want to pop out to their car for a quicky without knowing them. It’s another lie. We, the grown ups who created the culture they’re coming into, showed these girls and boys we value hypersexual behavior.

Little miss badass would swear up and down she wanted nothing more than a rauncy screw in the back of some wild strange boys car. Afterall, she is very wild and edgy and naughty, and a serious badass. I promise you, she wanted to listen to music and talk, maybe go to a diner, drink coffee and attract stares like a big girl. I promise you. It’s not her fault she doesn’t know how to get what she wants, or even believes she can. And while she’s busy being 15 and out of control and figuring herself out at great cost to herself, she needs grownups protecting her.

Very well said, Dan…I think your statement should be required reading for all these Nailwounds groupies who flooded the posts after his first 2 arrests and were quick to blame the messenger (i.e., Trench) for making the reports public.
