Police look into youth ‘factions’ over vandalism in Stoke area:
Once again we have a story that proves that idiot kids who post evidence of their crimes online are not limited to the U.S. or to MySpace. I’m not saying all kids are idiots just the ones who break the law.
Anyway this story comes to us from Stoke, New Zealand where groups, gangs, and factions are using the social site Bebo to post proof of their vandalism.
In December, a group calling themselves “Stoke Vandals” created a page on the social networking site Bebo where they boasted about their crimes and invited people to vote on where they should target next.
Police were also investigating whether another group, called the “Stoke Souljas” was responsible for recent acts of vandalism in the area.
In recent weeks, buildings around Annesbrook Drive and Main Rd Stoke had been tagged with the group’s name.
Stoke Souljas created a Bebo profile page in December 2006.
I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before both of these groups are corralled for one simple reason. No one teen can keep his mouth shut forever.
