Another possible suicide in Welsh town
Police probe death in Bebo suicide town:
Another teen suicide is thought to have happened in the town of Bridgend, South Wales. I originally posted about the rash of teen suicides happening there at this post.
At this time police are saying it’s not linked to other suicides and have actually not officially declared it a suicide nor have they said if the victim had a Bebo profile or not.
The reason I’m posting this story is because I received a comment at the last entry I did about these suicides where someone said they were scared and deleted their Bebo account.
Bebo is not the enemy here. Bebo is not causing these kids to commit suicide. In my opinion, and not to belittle the immense tragedy that has happened, this is what’s known as a suicide cluster. It’s a chain reaction that can sweep through a town or school when one person or teen commits suicide then several others follow. Unfortunately it’s not a new or uncommon thing.
I know I’m just a stupid Yank and all I do is have this stupid website but if any teen in Bridgend or anywhere else for that matter is considering suicide please don’t. It’s not worth throwing your life away and you shouldn’t be ashamed about getting help.
