Mom finds nude pics of 13-year-old daughter on MySpace

by Trench on February 21st, 2008

Mother reports finding nude photos of teen daughter on MySpace:
A horrified mother from Martin County, Florida discovered nude pics of her 13-year-old daughter on MySpace.

Apparently the daughter took the picture of herself and sent them to her then-boyfriend. I’m sure she thought they were going to be together forever. Well, they didn’t. So after they broke up the ex-boyfriend gave them to a friend who then made the MySpace containing the pictures.

This goes for the ladies as well as the teen girls. When you’re boyfriend/significant other says he deleted the pictures, he didn’t.

No charges have been filed as of yet.

i always monitor what my children are doing on the computer. i found a myspace page that a neighbor kid did that had pictures showing different nude body parts, but not the entire body in one shot. i emailed her mother so she could have her daughter remove it- the girl even put where she worked, anyone could have gone to where she worked and abducted her(or worse!)! the mother instead said there was nothing disgraceful about the human body, that i was a pervert and her children were godly. she also told *me* not to look at her daughter’s myspace page. what about the other 50 million people in the world? she did take down the pictures eventualy. later, i saw the girl had posted a defaced stopsign and admitted she did it. i didn’t even bother to email the mom, i went straight to the cops. the girl was cited for vandalism, malacious mischief and destruction of public property. she had to do lots of community service and she can’t be a cheerleader now- boohoo! the mom was pissed about having to pay $158.00 to replace the traffic sign. she says it’s not her daughters fault, that she didn’t do it…but it was on her myspace page?????? mind you, these are the “fish” christians who spout off about walking with the lord, but cheat and steal from people they do business with!!!! great example of fine parenting, m&c k!

Wow. That mom is lucky she found them. Nice job.

Her daughter, hopefully, has learned that this is no way to get attention.

The internet is such a scary place, I do not know if I would allow my kids on the computer as a young adolescent or teen except in limited doses, and then I would definitely do what this mom did. I would be watching over everything that is on the computer.

Parent should always know what their children are doing! If not, then you are not a parent, you are acting as a friend or reliving your youth which is not what a parent is to do. A child is to be protected and made to obey the rules of the house, just like you were made to do as a child. I see so many children who have parents who are blind to the reality of what children will do when denied the ability to act as an adult. Children are children and should be forced to act as such until they are adults, 18+, and then they can make their own decisions but just remember that they are a true reflection of the home they are raised in so if your children are seen by peers and others as downright intolerable, then it goes to the “parents” who allowed such horrible actions to be tolerated. The parents ought to be punished for the actions of their parents and the courts are beginning to see that is the only way to make children behave as children to force their parents to be responsible for their actions, all actions as it is their responsibility. I always tried to be older yet each time I was found out, I was brought down and realized I have 60+ years to act the way I choose, so be a child!

I should have said parents should be punished for the actions of their children and not their parents.

A parent is to teach a child and many refuse to do that, leave it to society to teach them or school and that is not socially or morally right.

It’s simple people… would you drop your children off in a back alley in a strange city during the middle of the night? NO! (At least I hope you answer is no)

Well, then dont let you children on the internet unattended. Its just as dangerous if not more.

Kudos for the mother catching it.

I think a big part of the problem is that parents don’t know what to expect from their teens. So much of it seems too nasty for our sweet darlings that we don’t want to look at it.

Lying, cheating, outrageous sexual displays. Kids do this stuff. Yes, your sweet kid and my sweet kid. It doesn’t make them bad people. It makes them typical crazy teens. Forgive and accept them. They’ll be different people in 6 months. But stay over them like a hawk, meddle lovingly and invasively in everything. Learn to be screamed at.

Oh, and when they do something crappy, don’t take their side. Nail them to the wall. Just sure they understand that it’s their actionsyou find bad and not them as people.
