NC teacher arrested for sex with student
Former teacher’s aid accused of sexual relations:
I hate it when these stories happen in my backyard. This happened in the city of Concord, North Carolina. It’s one town over from Charlotte.
23-year-old James Black was a coach and a teacher’s aid at Concord High School. He was arrested for having sex with tow of the students.
Police were able to find one of the victims through Black’s MySpace.
In the state of North Carolina it’s illegal for a teacher or coach to have sex with a student whether it was consensual or not.

It appears that teachers and coaches are repeatedly allowed to plead down to lesser offenses and get probation only. I guess Roy T. Cooper is more interested in online predators than he is in officials who have authority over children and who have the right to take a child in private and hit them (aka corporal punishment). Shudder.
