Hoodie yob arrested using website Bebo:
I love British slang.
Anyway a teacher in Hastings, England was able to use Bebo to track down a local vandal that had been terrorizing the neighborhood.
The 17-year-old thug taunted them by saying that they’d never be able to catch him without his name or picture.
“He started shouting at my husband, threatening to hit him, and all his friends were goading him on. That’s when we heard his name - and it’s a very distinctive name.
Which, as we all know, allows anyone to look you up on the regional social networking site of choice, in this case Bebo. Well, her son did anyway but the thought was there.
“I told my son about it, and it only took him a few minutes to find his profile on Bebo. All his personal details were there, plus a list of his friends and loads of pictures of him.”
The yob in question was sentenced to 12 months probation and forced to pay restitution of £200.
