Dr. Joyce Brothers weighs in on social sites
Son’s MySpace page indeed could hamper his work prospects:
The famous psychologist Dr. Joyce Brothers gives advice to woman who fears for her son’s future because of a drunkenly posted MySpace.
I’m just surprised that Dr. Brothers is still alive. I remember seeing her on Match Game when I was a kid. Or was it the $20,000 Pyramid?

It’s not that tough to shield a MySpace from a potential employer. Just click on the “Viewable to Friends Only” box.

If people were smart enough to do that I’d be out of a job.

But then again, chances are if a potential employee’s MySpace makes him look like an idiot, chances are he actually is an idiot.

Very very true, my sis’s room mate was turned down for not 1, not 2 but 3 jobs that she eventually figured out were because of what she had on her myspace (she is an elementary school teacher), when you put on your profile about me section that you like drunk dialing ex bf’s and then have pictures of you doing a keg stand, ya I am pretty sure you are not going to get a job with kids. Funny thing is, she still didnt take her profile down.
