Man Uses MySpace To Find Young Victims:
Michael Allen Jones of Hendersonville, Tennessee has been arrested for using MySpace to meet a 12-year -old girl to have sex.
Jones allegedly picked up the victim at her house, drove her to another location and had sexual contact with her.
Police charged Jones with rape of a child and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Since no age was given I was unable to find a definitive MySpace for Jones.

The title makes it sound like the 12-year-old was the toucher. Which makes me wonder, can a child really be considered a pedophile?

I know Michael personaly and I know more about the story than all of the news channels. 1st off he NEVER looked for her let alone any other girls. Get your facts straight. 2nd She found him, said she was 17. 3rd The cops got a report of a missing person not a, “rape”. He did not have sex with that girl.

12 or 17, he was an adult and he shouldn’t have been playing around with a child no matter -what- the reason. It’s playing with fire, and just -inviting- this to happen. I don’t know if she lied to him or not, and in my humble opinion, it doesn’t matter, mostly because one, you can tell when someone’s twelve or thirteen, and if you can’t then you’re very very blind, and two, 17 is still not “adult” and if you have no relation to a kid, it’s best to not err on the side of recklessness. If he was worried about her, he could’ve called her parents, or someone else to help her out, not put himself in the line of fire. I don’t know if he’s just unfortunate or if he knew, but either way he did bring it on himself by either not being aware enough, or just being blind. Or the third option of course, that he was a monster to begin with who knew her age. It cannot be entirely discounted, pretty much because none of us know the truth.

well now i have more info. about it now. He didnt do anything to her, also he didnt find her on myspace she found him. they were just hanging out and her parents filed a missing person thing on her and blamed him for nothing so now an innocent person could be going to jail also even if it had been mike who found which he didnt she could put a block to were people over 18 cant view her profile also she shouldnt be on myspace because shers 12 …..
and i no 18 year olds i thought they were 12 -14 when first meet themso im blind because an 18 year old lookis 12….
and hes not a monster i now him person hes a nice guy , also HE DID NOT KNOW HER AGE

If you doubt anyone’s age, asking for proof is a good idea. If it really wasn’t hsi fault, then I feel bad for him, but precautions could’ve been taken, and they werent. Don’t get me wrong–I think the parents were -very- much to blame in this. They should’ve been watching their child, and making sure she wasn’t doing anything stupid, but they weren’t watching her, and now, someone’s going to jail. Yes maybe an innocent, maybe a guilty person, but without the girl’s testimony it doesn’t really matter. Someone older looking younger is fine. You can identify their age with a drivers’ license. A 12 year old saying she’s 17 however would have nothing to prove her age. He Should have asked her to prove it, because any 12 year old is not going to LOOK like an adult and if he wondered, it’s better to err on the side of caution. “She told me she was 18″ is an excuse that by now is entirely too worn out, and it doesn’t hold water any more, even when it’s true. That’s why men need to protect themselves.

I’m not saying he isnt innocent. I’m saying that men need to start being a lot more cautious because things like this are going to continue to happen until they start asking for proof of age and the like. Whether or not he meant something bad to happen, he was in the presence of a minor he was not related to, and it looks horrible for him. There’s not much anyone can do at this point other than learn from his mistakes, if indeed he IS innocent.

She found him, lied about her age, let him take advantage of her, it was her choice to sneak out, and of coarse they belive her cause shes just some sweet little 12 year old who was manipulated by this evil teenage who just happens to be of age.
No, she is probably some hormonal middle schooler who just wanted to be that girl with a high school boyfriend so she can show him off to her friends and say ‘hey i have a boyfriend in high school” Mike thought she was in high school he didnt even rape her!!!Sexually assalted, yes, but she LET it happen and if she had not have gotten caught and in trouble she would probably still be seeing him.
