Seriously? This is what it’s come to? 23-year-old Amber Green and her fiance, 29-year-old Lee Smith, have been charged with child abuse. What depraved crime did they commit against Green’s 5 and 6 year old? They wrapped their kids in duct tape because the kids wanted to play in tape.
Police said Green admitted to taping her 5 and 6-year-old children, they “asked to play with the tape and wanted to be tied up,” the report said.
The tape was wrapped around the children’s stomachs and chest and close to their throats, police said. The pictures show the children upset and crying.
“It is a possibility that the children may have had a difficult time breathing,” according to the report.
I notice that the article doesn’t say if the children had cuts, bruises, or even bald patches.
The reason that they were arrested is because Green posted the pictures on MySpace. Then some busybody called police.
They were spotted by a woman who said she saw “disturbing photos of Green’s children secured and bound to chairs with duct tape” and called police.
You’d think the way the article was written that she took pictures of herself beating her kids with rubber hoses and sacks of Valencia oranges.
Meanwhile people like these don’t get caught until it’s gone too far.
I guess I should have called the police on my dad for wrapping me in my blanket like a burrito when I was a kid. Or when my brother and I used to tie each other up playing Cowboys and Indians.

it all depends on the seriousness of it. A little fun tying each other up is one thing. But when the kids start panicking & crying … well to continue with the taping and to take pictures is crossing over a line. they are definitely closer to the line than some sicko’s out there - but still over it.

You can’t be serious. Something seriously wrong with any adult who doesn’t see how sick it is for parents to duct tape their children and then post pictures of them crying on My Space. Maybe, Trench, you’d should take some time to reevaluate your morals and logic.
