Mark Strickler

by Trench Reynolds on April 26th, 2008

Over at News of Doom I posted about 25-year-old Mark Strickler of New Castle, PA. He was arrested for beating his girlfriend’s 18-month old to death.

Thanks to Mr. A we have Strickler’s MySpace.

The even sadder part is that according to his MySpace he’s expecting a child. At least that child will be hopefully spared Strickler’s wrath.

Just thought that I would point out that one of his favorite books that he has listed is “A Child Called ‘It’”. (It is the true story of what the author, Dave Pelzer, suffered at the hands of his severly abusive mother.) Would that fit the definition of irony?

Glad we still live in an “innocent until proven guilty” society.

I’m glad we live in a society where a 25-year-old who dares to call himself a man doesn’t beat an 18-month-old child to death. Oh wait. We don’t.

Oh yeah, makes perfect sense. I’m not saying he didn’t do it. I’m not saying he shouldn’t be totally punished. I’m just saying that there is a judicial process for a reason.

Last time I checked this wasn’t a courtroom.

And last time I checked, your earlier still imply assumed guilt. And the last time I checked before that, thats still a move that invites criticism and disdain.

It’s not implied. I think he’s guilty as hell.

Awesome. It’s people like you who undermine the court system by building opinions based upon little to no evidence other than what is gathered from papers and yellow journalism.

How? He’s not on the jury, so give me a break. Having an opinion doesn’t undermine the judicial system in any way.

I’m just saying an opinion based on nothing but conjecture and news articles is not a very intelligent idea.

Neither is defending a child killer.

I’ll defend him to the death until he is proven guilty in a court of law. This will be my last post for a while, my computer is broken. Have fun with you lynch mob.

Lmao, Jack is the type of person to say “Well it’s true that there’s a cookie missing, and yes I did see Little David put his hand in the jar, and okay yeah he does have crumbs around his mouth and chocolate on his fingers, but that doesn’t mean he did it!”

It’s true that sometimes they are innocent, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with opinions. I mean I certainly don’t plan on obsessively researching EVERY story that I come across in the newspaper, online, from friends, etc.
