Durham, NC political sex scandal
Democratic official charged in sex case:
The story making the rounds here in North Carolina is about a possible rape, assault, and cover up by some bigwigs in the Durham County Democratic Party.
It’s been alleged that Joy Suzanne Johnson, former third vice chairwoman, and her husband, Joseph Scott Craig, locked a man in a cage and sexually assaulted another woman in their home.
The party’s first vice chairwoman, Diana Palmer, is accused of trying to dispose of evidence after the fact.
Prosecutors are alleging that this was part of some satanic ritual which is idiotic and makes them look like backwoods hicks. I’ve spent time in Durham and that is usually far from the case. This is BDSM gone horribly wrong.
And to show that I’m apolitical you know how you can tell this wasn’t a Republican sex scandal? It didn’t involve a public restroom.
Thanks to Mr. A for the tip.

I read about that one yesterday - I can’t believe they think is “satanic.” Good grief!

I can’t believe they locked up a man. Are there clubs for people who like to do that type of stuff?
Consenting adults?

i fully understand how some of you feel about every strange thing that happens in the south being called satanic. however, as someone who has known both craig and johnson for years, i gotta say they ARE involved with a satanic cult. it’s called the order of the golden dawn, this indigo dawn thing is a coverup for two very disturbed people

Known as Onyx and Beastfire, these two have been active for the last 4yrs. as heads of the Order of the MorningStar. The OMS offers a rather ridiculous adaptation of Traditional Satanism. They contend that “Onyx” is the AntiChrist and that her true identity must be kept secret at all costs. She and Beastfire recruit people off the internet for membership. They have never been taken seriously and only find solidarity with those young, impressionable teens and alienated adults who will believe anything. She has even bragged about using her political position to further the goals of the OMS and how she used party affiliations to finance a trip for her to Iraq to visit the Luciferian Cult of the Yzedi.

I’m confused. Some people are saying this is a satanic cult and others are saying this is morning star. The Morning Star that I know of isn’t a cult, unless there are two Morning Stars.

Karen:According to Christianity, Satan WAS the Morning Star.He was God’s most wonderful Angel untill He challenged God’s authority and that is what got Him and His angels sent to h3ll.I think that should clear that up?Anyway, there is a lot of confusion about Satanists. It must be understood, however, they do not *worship* the christian isea of satan because they dont beleive in Him.If you dont beleive in God,how can you beleive in satan?Shpws this group is a fraid.I still think this is a BDSM experience gone wrong.

I’ve never heard Satan called Morning Star. I’ve heard Jesus called Morning Star. Regardless, it appears there are two morning stars - one being a Christian church in North Carolina and the other being a cult.

No one knows them like I do. They might be Satanic. That is no crime. But, they would never do what they’ve been accused of!-Heather(Lillith)

Look, I lived with them for three months in 2005. They were good to me. They did everything they could for me. Trust me, they would not have done what they’re accused of!

Ok, I’m going to go off topic here but it’s my site so I’m allowed.
Why would anyone want to be a satanist? To me that’s like reserving your place in hell.

Trench - I am going off on a different tangent here as well, but I was doing some research a while back and I read up a lot on the church of satan (the orginal church of satan, started by anton levay) http://www.churchofsatan.com/home.html
people who are truly comitted to the REAL church of satan and the writings of LeVay are really nothing more than agnostics and/or athiests.
What ever this wacky couple was following was definetly not related to the true church of satan. Please do not think that i am in anyway interested in becoming a member, I have been researching religions and faiths for some time, and it just makes sense to properly investigate all faiths (including satanism), the one teeny-weeny little thing that makes me give them just a tiny bit of… um…praise (for lack of a better word) is that they are truly humanists deep down.

Depending on your concept of Hell, that may or may not be a bad thing….The mere thought of rejecting the xian slave god’s demand for salvation would have the same result….

Concept of hell? The Bible is very clear about what hell is. You can accept it or not.
The God I serve is not a demanding God.

Karen if I took the xian bible as the final word then I would have to agree with you. Fortunately though I do not. I do not fear jhvh’s lake of fire….but I do look forward to an eternal orgasm with the Serpent of the Garden…the one who gave knowledge to mankind.
I wish I could say that I understand your godd is not demanding..but I do not know who your god is. I’m sure that you can’t mean the god of Abraham and Issac….the father of the Christ…because he is not only demanding but his demands MUST be met with blood. IF one does not meet his demands he sentences them to eternal torment? Satan on the other hand say…’i will not judge you’

Here’s my $.02 not that anyone asked me but it’s my site and I can pontificate theologically if I want.
In my eyes satan is God’s bitch. He’s nothing more than a prison warden who also happens to be a prisoner. So by worshiping satan you’re doing nothing more than knocking on the prison gates asking for a cell.

And, here is my .02 cents, not that anyone asked for it - but, it is all a fairy tale. God and/or Jesus may have existed, as men.
Religion is another ‘crutch’ that people use (and can be an addiction) as an excuse for doing bad and/or good.
In my mind, we should all do our best, treat people with respect, and follow the golden rule. Yes - that is stated in the bible in one form or another, but it is also stated in the teachings of spirituality.
If you choose to worship satan, then you make a conscious decision to worship darkness and evil, which will always bring about darkness and evil in your own life.
Sounds like these people are getting dosed by their own actions, unless new information comes to ‘light’.

You’re on a losing team. The Bible is clear that in the end EVERYONE will confess that Jesus is Lord. That includes the people in hell that denied Him and did not choose Him.

Everyone sees heaven and hell in their own unique way. Do we tell you how to see heaven? Do we try to make you believe that heaven will be completely miserable for you? Please people, don’t try to do the same to us!

Are they out yet? I would also like to know how this has went for their children (if they have kids).
I am still confused as to if this is a new age cult or atheistic thinking here or what. Those behaviors or that incident could have happened without any cult influences, as well.
